ADVANCE TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE for a full-bore THROUGH THE TREES ‘Branching Out’ concert from 7 to 9 p.m., on SATURDAY, JAN 10, 2026, in the upstairs sanctuary at Unity of Kanawha Valley, 804 Myrtle Road, in Charleston, W.Va., featuring RAY GARNETT on viola and violin; JIM PROBST on lap dulcimer; and DOUGLAS JOHN IMBROGNO on guitar and vocals, along with guest turns on stage by RON SOWELL, ROBIN KESSINGER, COLLEEN ANDERSON, JEFF HAUGHT, and KYLE VASS.
THIS EVENING OF GRAND MUSIC features the Trees performing multiple genres of music, from classic and familiar tunes drawn from the American songbook, to contemporary and original songs and instrumentals. The group will ‘branch out’ throughout the evening with the addition of Ron’s stylish harmonica; Robin’s nationally acclaimed flatpick guitar; Colleen’s sweet vocalizations; Jeff’s multi-voiced keyboard; and Kyle’s upright bass — plus anywhere else the Muses guide us harmonically.

These include our alternative takes on the great Shel Silverstein poem/song ‘IN THE HILLS of SHILOH’ and our augmented-for-2025 version of Woody Guthrie’s epic song ‘DEPORTEE’ (Also known as ‘Plane Wreck at Los Gatos.’) ‘DEPORTEE’ was produced by Mountain Stage band director Ron Sowell at Logan Gambill’s HEAR! HERE! Studio in Saint Alban, W.Va., where the Trees have been recording this past year. Ron joins the recording on harmonica and vocals; along with Ammed Solomon on hand percussion; and Mira Stanley on vocals (whose notable powerhouse voice was most recently heard in the acclaimed band THE SEA, THE SEA).
