A 'CLIMATE CHORUS' of PERFORMING TREES
An amended version of THROUGH THE TREES performs a set Monday, Feb. 23, at a post-Environmental Day at the West Virginia legislature, in a musical shindig at The Empty Glass in Charleston, W.Va.
WITH THE BAND’S VIOLA/VIOLIN master-in-training Ray Garnett off music majoring at West Virginia University, our electric folk-chamber ensemble THROUGH THE TREES is experimenting with different lineups when Ray is unavailable. Weather permitting (‘Really, Winter, are you not done YET?!?’) head out this Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. to The World Famous Empty Glass in Charleston WV, as Jim Probst (lap dulcimer) and Douglas John Imbrogno (guitar, vocals) are joined on stage by a couple ringers — Ron Sowell (harp & vocals) and Ammed Solomon (percussion), both of the Mountain Stage band. We’ll perform a set as part of an E-Day at the Legislature ‘Climate Chorus’ after-party. We share the night’s lineup with the accomplished musicianship of Sandy Sowell and Gerry Collyard; Andy Park; and Girl Team Sportstar. THROUGH THE TREES will, however, NOT be honoring requests for ‘Free Bird.’ Maybe The Stones ‘Wild Horses’ though! No cover, although donations are welcome to support the essential work of the West Virginia Environmental Council.
